Avalon II

This amazing feature packed game has so many bonus games you almost need a full scale manual to describe them all. There are an amazing eight bonus special features to play. And that’s not all! There are some special additions to the main game too which are well worth looking out for. The overall theme is of course the court of King Arthur and his mythical medieval world. An epic film score type soundtrack accompanies your spins as the reels gradually reveal all that this game has to offer. The reel symbols feature many of the recognised Arthurian characters, such as Merlin, Guinevere, the Black Knight and Arthur himself. These are supplemented by some high playing card values. The main Wild is the Avalon II logo. This can substitute for all the other symbols apart from the Scatter and the Special Wild. The Scatter is the Holy Grail. Getting 3, 4 or 5 of these triggers a bonus feature. And what an amazing array of features there are (listed below).

Wins are awarded by getting matching symbols anywhere on adjacent reels, running from left to right. There are no winning lines as such, because any position on neighbouring reels will do, representing an effective 243 ways to win.

This game can be played on any device, There are only three rows, so the game is easily compatible with even the most compact smartphone. Speaking personally though, with so many great features to play, I’d say the bigger the screen the better for this spectacular title.

Special Features

Firstly, there are a couple of features in the main game. Merlin can appear randomly during any spin near the bottom of your reels to award you a mystery prize. He raps the Win box with his staff to send knock the figures into action, Also, the Lady of the Lake Special Wild can appear on reel 3. When she does, she can expand to cover the reel to award you some additional wins.

The special additional bonus features are triggered as a result of getting at least three Holy Grail symbols anywhere on your reels.

In the Lake of Legend, you are tasked with re-forging Excalibur. Here you have to roll the dice in order to re-assemble the fragments of sword. Each roll of the dice awards a corresponding prize multiple (1 x to 6 x). Achieving a successful re-forge in ten dice rolls results in an additional 15 x prize multiple. Also, once Excalibur has been successfully assembled, you get an extra 6 x multiple for each remaining dice roll.

Next is Misty Vale. Here you get fifteen free spins. You also get to choose an additional character to become an extra wild for the duration of your spins. Not only that, but your chosen symbol also becomes a 2 x prize multiplier.

In the Whispering Woods, the Mystical White Knight presents you with five shields. You choose one to reveal your prize. Then it’s a test of nerve: stick or twist? You can keep your prize, or reject it and choose another shield. You have two chances to change your mind and exchange your shield. The final chosen shield is your lasting reward.

With Forest Falls, you get twenty free spins. These contain Trailing Wilds to increase your chances of achieving a win.

In Dusky Moors, you must Match the Helms to win a variable prize multiple of up to 8 x. You get to grow your prize multiplier by revealing individual helms before you achieve a matching pair.

In Morgan’s Keep, you also get twenty free spins: this time with Rolling Reels. These can result in multiple consecutive wins. And what’s more, each successive win increases the prize multiplier, up to a maximum 6 x.

In the Hall of Shadows, you must defeat the Black Night to recover the Holy Grail. Each strike will award you a prize. Its size is dependent on each block or strike you successfully achieve.

Finally (phew!) on the Isle of Avalon, you spin the Wheel of Fortune to reveal your win. The numbers won on each wheel will decide your final prize multiple. Stop the third Wheel on zero to unlock even greater rewards.
