This nice tropical themed game from Net Entertainment features a jolly Pacific Island setting. The soundtrack has a Hawaiian feel about it, with some tropical birdlife twittering behind the scenes with the sound of a distant sea gently lapping on the sandy shore. So with cocktails at the ready, what is the actual game like? Well it certainly is a bit different. There are six reels for a start. There are also no winning lines! Instead of lining up matching symbols, instead you win by achieving a cluster of matching characters. The reels consist of some typically tropical symbols such as coconuts, pineapples, exotic flowers and sea shells. These are supplemented by some brightly coloured native mask symbols. The game looks great on all devices, with the bright colours and large reel icons making this game particularly suited to play on smaller devices.
The clustering of the reel symbols add to the visual appeal of the game. You need to get at least nine to trigger a win. The more you get, anywhere across your reels, the more you win. Depending on the cluster you get, you can earn some big wins. Get a full screen of same coloured tribal masks to win at least 5,000 coins. If they are all red, you will be rewarded with the maximum cluster pay out: a massive 10,000 coins. Get three or more Free Spin symbols fully or partially appearing anywhere on your reels to trigger some free spins. Get three to earn yourself nine free goes, but get more and you get more spins: the maximum of six will bring you twelve extra spins. You can re-trigger further free spins during your free session.
But it’s not just the unusual format that is different about this innovative title. There are loads of great special features too…
There isn’t a conventional Wild symbol on this game. Instead, you get a Substitution Symbol. These can appear anywhere on your reels. When they do, they transform an adjacent symbol to maximise your possible win. They cannot substitute for the Free Spin symbol though.
Any cluster win can randomly trigger a Sticky Re-spin. When this happens, the winning symbols stick as the reels are re-spun. If the winning cluster size increases, these stick too, for a further re-spin. The process continues until you fail to add to your winning cluster, at which point your accumulated win is paid out.
Sticky Wins and Substitution Symbols can cause the tribal mask symbols to become stacked, further increasing your chances of achieving a decent sized cluster.
During your free spins, an extra feature causes some low paying symbols to drop off your reels, increasing your chances of getting a lucrative win. This can happen several times, so that toward the end of your spins, you only have higher paying symbols left. And as if all this wasn’t enough to increase your odds of a good prize, if you don’t achieve a win on your last free spin, the reels are re-spun until you do!
